elementor - v3.21.0 - 08-05-2024 *\/\n.elementor-widget-text-editor.elementor-drop-cap-view-stacked .elementor-drop-cap{background-color:#69727d;color:#fff}.elementor-widget-text-editor.elementor-drop-cap-view-framed .elementor-drop-cap{color:#69727d;border:3px solid;background-color:transparent}.elementor-widget-text-editor:not(.elementor-drop-cap-view-default) .elementor-drop-cap{margin-top:8px}.elementor-widget-text-editor:not(.elementor-drop-cap-view-default) .elementor-drop-cap-letter{width:1em;height:1em}.elementor-widget-text-editor .elementor-drop-cap{float:left;text-align:center;line-height:1;font-size:50px}.elementor-widget-text-editor .elementor-drop-cap-letter{display:inline-block}<\/style>\t\t\t\t<h4>FCBA\u2019s successful <em>Soft Launch<\/em> took place on 22nd May at Havas Village London.<\/h4><p><strong><br \/>The event was well attended from across sectors, with huge thanks due to our contributors:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Carolyn Bundy (Toyota GB)<\/li><li>Sally Hopper (Hertfordshire County Council)<\/li><li>Anne Fox (Clinks)<\/li><li>Caron French and\u00a0Cynthia Dugan: (WTW)<\/li><\/ul><p>A special mention is also due to those who shared their personal experiences:<\/p><ul><li>Paul Idem<\/li><li>Aaron White<\/li><li>Ossama Chiker<\/li><\/ul><p>We also had some of our <a href=\"https:\/\/fairchancealliance.co.uk\/index.php\/advisory-board\/\">Strategic Advisory Board<\/a> (SAB) at the event &#8211; specifically, our Chair, Keith Jones; Small Business specialist Patrick Burge; and our previously mentioned Public Sector rep., Sally Hopper.<\/p><p>Overall, the interactive sessions discussed the importance of our <a href=\"https:\/\/fairchancealliance.co.uk\/index.php\/the-alliance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alliance<\/a>, an overview of the UK&#8217;s first <a href=\"https:\/\/fairchancealliance.co.uk\/index.php\/the-charter\/\">Employment Charter<\/a> for recruiting and progressing people with criminal records, and some of the lessons organisations have learned on their inclusive recruitment journeys.<\/p><p>Our community of practice continues to grow, and we&#8217;re incorporating the insights and feedback from our soft launch into the resources for employers to safely, successfully and sustainably remove barriers for those often furthest from the workforce.\u00a0<span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">By deploying collective employer action, at the very human level, mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, and brothers and sisters can reimagine their lives as part of stable families and diverse communities. <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">Our early adopters and founding members \/ signatories are working to make that possible, practical and <\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\"><b>normal<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">. And r<\/span>eflections from attendees after the event have been extremely helpful and encouraging as we move forward to our <a href=\"https:\/\/fairchancealliance.co.uk\/index.php\/2024\/06\/26\/going-live\/\">\u2018Go Live\u2019<\/a> event, which we have rescheduled for the early autumn.<\/p><p><em>One final important thank
