We’re thrilled to welcome Kate Carr, fresh from 3½ years at Business In the Community, where she spearheaded numerous EDI campaigns across outreach, recruitment and progression, including Opening Doors and Ban the Box. She joins FCBA as Interim Head of Operations and Membership, and will play a critical role in driving the growth, sustainability and impact of the Alliance.
Keith Jones, who chairs FCBA’s Strategic Advisory Board, said: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome Kate to the Alliance. This is an interim appointment, but we fully expect her to progress into a substantive post in the next financial year.
“Kate joins FCBA at a crucial juncture for us, and will play a defining role in driving the growth, sustainability and impact of FCBA and Fair Chance employment at large. I know she shares all our passions for the human side of this endeavour and the collective intent to change the lives of thousands of talented people in the waiting workforce.”
Kate will spend the first few weeks meeting with other members of the team and familiarising herself with how the Charter will work for different sizes of employers. She will also take some of the work off David McAllister, who has worked tirelessly on the development and redevelopment of the Charter in readiness for our “Go Live” event at Havas Village on October 2nd.
